Halloween Carnival and Haunted House
Join us for our Halloween celebration on October 30 for lots of games and prizes, and a haunted house. This event is co-sponsored by the Roanoke Rapids Optimist Club. Carnival is free and for ages 12 and under only.  The Haunted House is $2 per person.

Easter Egg Hunt
Held the Saturday before Easter at T. J. Davis and Chaloner Recreation Centers. Activities usually begin at 9AM. Children are divided into three age groups, infant - 4, 5 - 7, and 8 - 12. Prizes are awarded for each age group. Entertainment or activities are held afterwards.

Tri-Roanoke Valley Sprint Triathlon
April event. Beginning at 8am at T.J. Davis Recreation Center
Events include: 300 Meter Swim, 14.8 Mile bike, and 3.1 Mile Run

"Fridays in the Park" Free Summer Concert Series

Held monthly at Centennial Park between the months of May and September from 6:30-8:30 p.m. Roanoke Rapids Parks and Recreation, Halifax County Tourism, the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Halifax County Arts Council are proud to present this Summer Concert Series at Centennial Park. Grab your family, bring your lounge chair and join us for an evening of relaxing family music.

Splash Fest
TJ Davis Pool Wednesday mid July 1-4pm. Games, Music, Giveaways and FUN for swimmers and non-swimmers. Free admission for ages 7-15. Parents need to accompany children under 9 years of age.
