The Roanoke Rapids Parks and Recreation Department runs youth basketball and flag football leagues. Other youth sports such as baseball, softball, soccer, swim team, and tackle football are run by volunteer organizations in Roanoke Rapids.

Registration for all youth basketball and flag football is held at T. J. Davis Recreation Center. A copy of the child's birth certificate is required to register for any youth sport.

Forms for other youth sports will be available at TJ Davis Recreation Center as soon as the leagues provide the information.

For girls and boys ages 7-10.

Must be 7 by October 15 of present year and cannot be 10 by October 15 of present year.

Midget Tackle Football

10 –12 year olds

Players must be 10 before October 15^th and cannot be 12 until after October 15^th

Men's Industrial League Basketball

Adult Basketball Coaches Meeting held in January.
$300.00 plus $15.00 for each non-resident will be due when signing up a team.

Total entry fee for adult basketball leagues will be based on the number of teams and games played.

Men’s Industrial League Softball

Adult Softball Coaches meeting held in June for persons interested in placing a softball team in one of the following leagues: Men’s Open, Men’s Industrial, Women’s Open, Co-Ed, and Church. For all leagues you must work or live in Northampton or Halifax County. $250 for each league, plus $15 non-resident fee.

Players must be a full time employee for team company. 30 and over (Must be 30 years old by Dec. 31). Must live or work within a ten (10) mile radius of the city limits of Roanoke Rapids.
