The Finance Department is responsible for the proper collection and disbursement of City funds and providing financial forecasts related to the City's budget. The staff provides financial, budgeting, purchasing, and accounting services for city operations.

The Finance Department is a team dedicated to providing quality financial services to other City Departments, the City Council, and the citizens of Roanoke Rapids. These services are intended to be provided in a timely, accurate, and cost efficient manner by utilizing quality employees, technological advances, and generally accepted principles while fulfilling legal responsibilities.
