Public Service Announcement

Due to the current COVID-19 virus the Roanoke Rapids Fire Department will be closing both stations to the public. Also, we will be temporarily suspending all of our Fire and Life Safety outreach programs for the next 2 weeks which includes our child safety seat program, smoke alarm installations, fire extinguisher, and CPR classes. If you have one of these programs already scheduled in this time frame, we will be calling you to reschedule. These actions are to help with slowing the spread of this virus along with protecting our staff, so they can continue to provide the same emergency services that you have been receiving. We will continue to respond to emergency calls the same as always. For the protection of you and our staff, in some cases we may be dressed in additional protective gear to reduce the risk of contamination.

We understand that these can be trying times for all of us but with a little patience and time, we will be back to normal operations.
