Rex Stainback, District 1 Councilmember

Councilman Stainback was appointed by City Council on August 24, 2021 to fill the remaining term for the vacant District 1 seat. He was elected in November 2023 and is currently serving his second term.

He is a retired police officer from the City of Roanoke Rapids Police Department and currently employed as the SRO at Roanoke Rapids High School. He serves on the RRHS Alumni and Friends Association Board of Directors and the RRHS Athletic Hall Of Fame Committee.
