Curtis Strickland, District 1 Councilmember

Curtis Strickland was appointed by City Council on October 3, 2023 to fill the vacant District 1 seat and served the remainder of the term until November 2025 when he was elected to serve a full 4-year term.

Curt is a lifelong resident of Roanoke Rapids and is currently the General Manager at Builders FirstSource in Roanoke Rapids where he has been employed for 44 years. He has been a member of the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Lake Gaston Chamber of Commerce as well as the North Carolina Home Builders Association (Roanoke Valley Association) for many years.
